About the project

The ORACLE project is focused on innovative solutions for ammonia production. The development of disruptive catalysts and concepts for decentralised production of ammonia as an alternative renewable fuel, employing plasma-aided electrocatalytic as well as electrified thermal catalytic systems, in collaboration with two Japanese partners will be pursuit. The concept is based on three methods to produce ammonia (1. electro-catalytic; 2. plasma-assisted electro-catalytic; and 3. electro-thermo catalytic systems) by developing catalysts and reactors and builds on previous feasibility tests and longstanding collaboration among the partners.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101022738.
